将来の不安を忘れるために、いくつか応募書類を書いている。今日も英国の研究大学での専任講師(lecturer)の公募に二つ出した。その中で、特に質問項目がしっかりしていた公募があったので、備忘のために記録しておこうと思う。
質問項目で"creative industries"の語が強調されているのは、専門分野との兼ね合いで、他の語に置き換えれば他分野でもおおよそ似たようなものかと思われる。
- A PhD in a field related to the creative and cultural industries
- Expertise and research interests in the field of creative enterprise
- A track record of published research outputs commensurate with career stage, and a clear indication of future plans and the potential to achieve the very highest standards of research in the field of cultural industries
- A proven record of teaching in a University environment, with an enthusiastic approach to teaching and the ability to interact with students in ways that will enhance the student experience
- Experience of proactively developing new and innovative teaching and assessment approaches and materials
- The ability to work with a team of colleagues and to manage commitments in a timely and strategic manner
- The ability to contribute to management and administrative processes and structures
- Excellent communication and IT skills to support and enhance teaching and research
- Demonstrable experience of securing funding for research, commensurate with your career stage
- Expertise in creative industries production and management within and across different global contexts
この１０項目全てについて短い文章での回答を行い、それにCVを添付すれば応募が完了する。現時点でも、研究、教育貢献、IT、国際性、ファンディング、あたりは強く推せる根拠があるのだが、学務やマネジメントについての項目は、経験に裏打ちされた根拠がないので、書いていて手応えがなかった。
もちろん、博士課程を出たばかりで背伸びして専任講師ポストに応募した状態なので、キャリアステージとしても無理があるのは当然だが、これらの項目から逆算して、全てに自信を持って回答できる経験を積んでおくのがこの先数年間の自分の課題になりそうだと思った。
